BlueSky firehose sequence and event decoder
Inspect decoded AT Protocol Firehose or Jetstream event JSON before you build stream consumers, custom feed indexers, alert pipelines, or operational dashboards.
Decode event state
This tool checks JSON after your SDK or stream client has decoded the WebSocket frame. It does not connect to the Firehose, decode CBOR, or unpack CAR blocks inside the browser.
subscribeRepos is lower level
The official lexicon describes commit, sync, identity, account, and info events. Commit events carry seq, repo, rev, blocks, ops, blobs, and time.
Jetstream is simpler JSON
Jetstream is usually easier for alerting and feed-adjacent tooling because it emits filtered JSON instead of raw CBOR and CAR payloads.
ConsumerTooSlow is real
If a consumer cannot keep up and backlog gets too large, the stream provider can drop the connection. Store cursor state and backfill deliberately.

From stream diagnostics to planned publishing
Developers can track sequence numbers and event payloads. Creators need a calmer layer: reviewed drafts, thread splitting, character checks, and a posting calendar. ONYX is the publishing workspace after the technical signal becomes a human-approved message.
